Elizabeth A. Wilkins
Dr. Beth Wilkins is a former International President of Kappa Delta Pi. She is a professor in the Department of Teaching & Learning at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. She has presented more than 150 workshops at the state, regional, national and international level; published more than 30 articles; authored two books, including KDP’s The New Teacher's Guide to Overcoming Common Challenges (with co-author Anna M. Quinzio Zafran) and KDP's The Induction Connection (with co-author Mary C. Clement); and written book chapters, one of which is in The Power of Teacher Leaders. She is passionate about supporting new teachers and nurturing them as they become leaders.

Keon Ruiter
Mr. Ruiter has taught second or third grade in Title One schools for the past ten years. As a mentor teacher, he has supervised many student teachers. As an active KDP member, he has served as co-chair of the Graduate Student Committee, a scholarship reviewer, member of the Executive Council, and state delegate.
