Cheri Gentry Long, Ed.D, has taught in a rural elementary school for the past 20 years. She has served on various school and district committees throughout her career. She has written for KDP and plans to expand her writing based on her doctoral dissertation about single fathers rearing academically successful children. Her research interests focus on how to involve parents in their children’s academics.
