The Power of Social-Emotional Learning
Why has social-emotional learning (SEL) become increasingly relevant in schools and workplaces today, and how is it related to students’ academic success? While specific skills related to this area of learning may be up for debate, many can agree on the need to focus on the whole person - on both traditional and emotional intelligence - to better prepare individuals for a lifetime of personal growth and healthy relationships. This session provides a framework for organizing and building an SEL culture with authentic integration strategies to create a positive teaching and learning community with successful students and adults.
